NRA Basic Pistol:    Time: 9AM – 5PM   Cost: $125.00   

NRA Basic Handgun Course covering handgun function, theory, safety and application. The course is all day from 9am - 5pm. Eye dominance, shooting positions and stances, grip, breath control, sight picture, and sight alignment are covered. A gun cleaning demonstration is performed as well. Strong emphasis is stressed on proper sight alignment and sight picture. Ammunition is covered extensively and recommendations as to what types should be used for self-defense are made. The lecture is based on the NRA basic handgun shooting curriculum.

MD Wear and Carry Permit:  

Time: 9AM-5PM      Cost: $300.00

This course is a 2-day class that teaches the student the basics of Maryland Law, the basic understanding of how to shoot a pistol. The student will learn how to put from a holster, reloading, clearing malfunctions. Students will be taught how to shoot strong and weak handed, different shooting positions, one handed shooting along with the proper mindset to carry a firearm with confidence. This class will be taught in the classroom and on the range. The student will be required to pass a written test and qualify on the range. 

100 rounds of ammunitionneeded.

Defensive Pistol I:        Time 9AM-5PM               Cost: $250

Prerequisite: Basic Pistol, or CCW Class. This course introduces the student to the defensive use of the handgun. Emphasis is on shooting skill development for application in real-life circumstances. The fundamentals of Mindset, Gun-handling, and Marksmanship are taught. Other course topics include Situational Awareness, equipment selection, safety, handling, loading, unloading, malfunction clearance, drawing and firing techniques, single handed and weak hand firing, firing from cover, multiple targets, movement, and tactics. 

300 Rounds of Ammunition needed.

Defensive Pistol ll:         Time: 9AM-5PM         Cost: $300.00

Prerequisite: Defensive Pistol I or equivalent. This course begins with a review of Defensive Pistol I and progresses quickly into an emphasis on applying more advanced techniques under more difficult real-life situations. Increased speed of weapon deployment, increased difficulty of shooting problems and scenarios, injured shooter exercises, shooting from disadvantageous firing positions, shooting while on the move, drawing and firing from concealment.

300-400 rounds of ammunition needed.

Women Only Defensive Pistol:  

Time: 9AM-5PM   Cost: $200.00 

This class is centered around women’s day to day activities. Teaches the student how to defend themselves in real life situations. Learn how to shoot from multiple positions, from the ground and through a purse. Learn the use of situational awareness, one handed and weak hand shooting, use of movement and tactics during an attack.  

150 rounds of ammunition needed.
